A simply spectacular 1940s-style perching fedora in such a luscious color! I just adore this hat with its jaunty tilt, fun chenille dots in brown and red, and of course, the hand-pleated ribbon ornaments I created to tie everything together. This hat will be absolutely perfect to wear throughout the autumn color and festive holiday seasons!
Note that this is not a head-size hat but rather, is intended to perch somewhat atop the wearer's head with an elasticated felt bandeau that wraps at the back of your head to hold it on. This is a vintage technique for wearing a perching hat securely and comfortably, and will likely fit most head sizes. If you have any sizing questions, please don't hesitate to ask them!

I like a hat in your shop but would prefer it had a different trim. Can you swap out the trim on an existing hat for me?
In some cases I can do this and in some cases I can't. Please don't hesitate to ask and we can discuss it!
How do I care for and store my new hat?
I'm so glad you asked! Avoid wearing a straw hat in wet weather because it will quickly lose its shape in the rain. You may also find that some dyed straws' colors will run when wet.
Avoid getting fabric trims like silk flowers, ribbon ornaments and veils wet as these can still look droopy even after they dry again.
If a felt hat becomes wet, stuff it loosely with tissue before allowing it to dry. If your felt looks dull or dusty, you can use a bristle brush to brush up the nap again.
To store, stuff your hat loosely with tissue paper to hold its shape, and put it in its hat box away from dust and sunlight. Never hang a hat or keep it on a stand or its shape could become distorted over time.
