A stunning and versatile cocktail hat perfect for special occasion wear!
Crafted from luxuriously plush black velour felt, this lovely little hat will take you through holiday party season with style! Accented with black and off-white felt flowers, the color palette is perfectly neutral and will go with just about anything. I've added some freshwater pearl beads in the centers of the hand-cut flowers which play up the off-white dots of the cloud of antique silk veiling.
This hat is meant to perch on the head and is attached to a petersham ribbon-wrapped wire frame that can be gently molded to conform to the shape of the wearer's head. (Note: The display heads shown in the photos are much smaller than a real head size, and the wire frame will NOT stick out when being worn by a real person.) I've also stitched in a small metal comb for additional security. This one is a real stunner!

Can you custom-make a hat for me?

I like a hat in your shop but would prefer it had a different trim. Can you swap out the trim on an existing hat for me?
In some cases I can do this and in some cases I can't. Please don't hesitate to ask and we can discuss it!
How do I care for and store my new hat?
I'm so glad you asked! Avoid wearing a straw hat in wet weather because it will quickly lose its shape in the rain. You may also find that some dyed straws' colors will run when wet.
Avoid getting fabric trims like silk flowers, ribbon ornaments and veils wet as these can still look droopy even after they dry again.
If a felt hat becomes wet, stuff it loosely with tissue before allowing it to dry. If your felt looks dull or dusty, you can use a bristle brush to brush up the nap again.
To store, stuff your hat loosely with tissue paper to hold its shape, and put it in its hat box away from dust and sunlight. Never hang a hat or keep it on a stand or its shape could become distorted over time.
