This little button hat is crafted from metallic floral Shantung straw (a type of fancy paper straw) in shimmering hues of lilac, emerald, and muted gold printed on a cream base. I've accented some of the flower centers with wired Swarovski rhinestone flowers with aurora borealis "petals" and green centers, then added a generous pouf of green veiling embellished with more Swarovski crystals and underlaid with a bit of lilac French silk veiling. This piece is mounted onto a wired bandeau wrapped with beige velvet ribbon and is quite easy and comfortable to wear for nearly all head sizes. I've also added a small comb for additional security.
Lined with a bit of vintage metallic crinkle gauze fabric, this is the perfect little hat for those who love a bit of glamour and sparkle!

I like a hat in your shop but would prefer it had a different trim. Can you swap out the trim on an existing hat for me?
In some cases I can do this and in some cases I can't. Please don't hesitate to ask and we can discuss it!
How do I care for and store my new hat?
I'm so glad you asked! Avoid wearing a straw hat in wet weather because it will quickly lose its shape in the rain. You may also find that some dyed straws' colors will run when wet.
Avoid getting fabric trims like silk flowers, ribbon ornaments and veils wet as these can still look droopy even after they dry again.
If a felt hat becomes wet, stuff it loosely with tissue before allowing it to dry. If your felt looks dull or dusty, you can use a bristle brush to brush up the nap again.
To store, stuff your hat loosely with tissue paper to hold its shape, and put it in its hat box away from dust and sunlight. Never hang a hat or keep it on a stand or its shape could become distorted over time.
